The Church

To the rear of the church exterior a drumming well "foretells the death of a member of the St. Quentin family". This stems from when a drummer named Tom Hewson was pushed down the well in the fourteenth century by the squire. Tom's mother was a witch, and she cursed the squire and his descendants to hear the drumming prior to death.
